BASIFON is a solvent-based binder specially designed to be combined with sanding flour from treated wood. The result is a perfectly tinted, strong and durable putty, ideal for filling small defects or cracks. Its fast, effective formula guarantees excellent adhesion while respecting the natural appearance of the wood.

  • Make sure the wood floor is dry (humidity between 8 and 10 %), dust-free, clean and free of grease. Sand carefully (finish with P120 grain). Fill any holes, joints or cracks with the product, then sand again. If you need to adjust the color, add a little NS-XXXX color to the binder.
  • Use only stainless steel tools. Apply filler only at ambient temperatures between 12°C and 25°C, to ensure optimum setting.
  • Mix the wood flour from sanding with NC-0010 binder. If the mixture becomes too thick, adjust with a little TH-0609PUR thinner. Measure carefully to avoid a putty that is too liquid or too dense.
  • Fill areas to be filled generously, smoothing quickly. Work with precision to avoid spillage, which can cause visible halos after sealing.
  • After drying (time varies according to temperature, humidity and hole size), sand to a smooth surface. Then apply the desired finish. If wood humidity is too low, lightly moisten holes with TH-0609PUR to improve sealant adhesion.
