BASIFON POUDRE is a tinted powder wood filler, simply mixed with water to obtain a ready-to-use patching paste. Ideal for filling holes, cracks or knots, it provides a clean, long-lasting repair. Available in 6 shades, this NMP-free product respects the environment while guaranteeing an aesthetic finish on all types of wood.

  • Make sure the wood floor is dry (wood moisture content between 8 and 10 %), clean, dust-free and free of residues or grease. Sand the floor completely (finish with P120 grit), then fill joints, holes and cracks with the product. Once dry, sand again to ensure an even surface.
  • Use only stainless steel tools to avoid altering the mixture or contaminating the substrate.
  • Mix 3 parts powder with 1 part water. Be careful not to mix too thickly or too thinly. The mixture can be used for approximately 30-40 minutes.
  • Fill in the areas to be repaired abundantly, smoothing the surface rapidly with the appropriate tool. Work in small sections to keep the product fluid during use.
  • After complete drying (variable according to temperature, humidity and size of treated areas), sand to a smooth surface ready for finishing. If you plan to stain the repaired area, choose a BASIFON POUDRE shade slightly lighter than that of the wood.
