BASICOLL PU-550 is a two-component polyurethane adhesive designed for full-surface gluing of solid and engineered parquet, whether unfinished or prefinished. Its technical formulation ensures optimum adhesion to most common building substrates. Ideal for demanding installations, it guarantees long-lasting, mechanically resistant hold.

  • Make sure ambient temperature is between 13 and 25°C and relative humidity between 40 and 60 %. Ventilate if necessary. Ventilate the space if necessary.the cement substrate must have less than 2 % of humidity and be sound.allow the adhesive to acclimatize for a few days before application.
  • Store unpacked parquet in the room for 3 days, with humidity levels between 8 and 11 %. For exotic woods, clean with acetone (TH-1391) and allow to dry.
  • Place 10 to 15 mm spacers for an expansion joint between wall and floor, and cut the end of the glue bag, then press the other side to release the glue.
  • Apply the glue to several areas of the floor, then level off with a spatula. Lay the floorboards, pressing firmly to ensure a good bond.
  • Wipe away fresh glue stains with a cloth. Once hardened, it can be removed mechanically without a trace.
