ANTICO 1 is an ageing agent for tannic woods such as oak. It reacts with the wood's natural tannins to create an authentic aged effect, ideal for decorative or heritage projects. Formulated without NMP and respecting the environment, it can be used in combination with ANTICO 3 for enhanced shades and contrasts.

  • Apply the products diluted or undiluted, depending on the formula chosen to achieve the desired effect. The recommended order is: optionally Black Activator, followed by ANTICO 1, then ANTICO 3, and finally PATINA. Examples of combinations and shades can be found on pages 4 and 5 of the technical data sheets.
  • Each product is applied by brush, roller or spray, using tools adapted to the desired finish and the surface to be treated.
  • After application, do not wipe off. Drying must take place naturally to allow the chemical tint to develop evenly, in line with the concentration of tannin in the wood.
  • Never mix ANTICO products with each other, to avoid dangerous chemical reactions. Each step must be carried out in a single operation to guarantee stable, consistent color effects.
  • Don't leave cans open too long, to preserve ANTICO 3's reactivity. Avoid contact of ANTICO 3 with metal objects: use plastic mixers instead. Do not use products on multi-layer parquet floors with a wear layer of less than 2.5 mm.
