BASIKITT is a ready-to-use wood filler designed for fast, effective filling of wood defects such as holes, cracks and splits. Its malleable, tinted paste is easy to apply, dries quickly and provides a clean finish before varnishing or oiling. Available in 8 shades to suit all wood species, it provides a simple, clean solution for repairing wood surfaces.

  • Use the ready-to-use paste as is, without any additives. Keep to a maximum thickness of 5 mm per application. If the hole is deeper, fill in several passes to avoid drying shrinkage.
  • Carefully spread and level the product with a wooden or plastic spatula, taking care not to scratch the wood substrate.
  • For deep holes, apply several thin coats, spaced 30 minutes apart, until a satisfactory level is achieved.
  • Allow to dry completely for about 1 hour for a 2 mm layer. Adjust this time if several coats have been applied.
  • Once dry, sand the area with 120-grit abrasive. This will avoid any rings around the filled areas when applying varnish or finish.
